General Characteristics of Mining Ropes

Rope wires are in at least 180 kg/mm2 resistance value. Ropes may be manufactured as uncoated lubricated or galvanized lubricated. Ropes with 8 strands may be used when elasticity and resistance are in same importance.

For the Mining Ropes following points are important;

• Resistance to abrasion,
• Resistance to bending,
• Resistance to crashing,
• Resistance to corrosion.
